Attorney Carl B. Grant received his undergraduate degree with academic honors from South Carolina State College in 1982, where he majored in Political Science and English. Attorney Grant has been designated by now South Carolina State University as a Stellar Alumnus. Attorney Grant then attended The Ohio State University College of Law on a full academic scholarship, graduating in 1985. Attorney Grant is admitted to practice law in South Carolina and Maryland and passed both bar examinations on his first attempts. Attorney Grant began practicing law at age 25. After law school, Attorney Grant served on active duty in the United States Army for five years as a Captain and lawyer with the Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG). While serving in the JAG Corps Captain Grant was regularly evaluated as a “top block” military officer and described by his superiors and peers as a ”trial lawyer par excellence”. Attorney and Captain Grant was also a Special Assistant United States Attorney while serving our country in the United States Army.

During Attorney Grant’s 33 years of experience as an attorney, he has successfully handled civil cases involving catastrophic and serious personal injury, wrongful death, automobile, motorcycle, and truck accidents, burn cases, brain damage, paralysis, workers compensation, and medical malpractice.  Attorney Grant has recovered millions of dollars for his clients in cases involving these issues. Additionally, in a school bus stop accident case where the defense offered five thousand dollars to settle the case before the verdict was announced, Attorney Grant obtained a jury verdict of $910 thousand dollars. Comparably, as a criminal defense attorney, Attorney Grant has obtained not guilty verdicts and full acquittals for his clients in jury trials ranging from the State seeking the death penalty for capital murder, to the Federal Government seeking life in prison on federal drug charges, descending to DUI.

Attorney Grant has been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Oprah’s Next Chapter, The Leeza Gibbons Show, The Phil Donahue Show, and on CNN and other networks for high profile cases he has handled.
